The Fort McMurray Construction Association (FMCA) was incorporated in 1987 and is today one of the largest Non-Profit Associations serving the Commercial, Institutional and Industrial Construction Industry in Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.

FMCA provides up-to-date information on construction procurement opportunities and industry activities for a membership of General Contractors, Trade Contractors, Manufacturers and Suppliers of Goods and Services to the Construction Industry.

Each year, hundreds of sets of tender documents are received by the FMCA Plan Room for viewing by members. Tender documents are sent to FMCA by the Federal, Provincial and Municipal Government, as well as the Private Sector and represent small to large commercial, institutional and some industrial projects out for bid in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, the Province of Alberta,. FMCA Plan Room attracts in excess of 1,000 visits annually.
